Hello Jeff,
If you need to capture the video using Dazzle DVC 90 and you are getting a message about IEEE-1394 in Studio then it seems that the DVC 90 does not recognize in Studio or you have not select the DVC 90 in the capture source drop down list. Please try the following suggestions and let me know with the outcome. Please download and install Windows XP Service Pack 1 which you can find on the Windows Update website. Also download and install DirectX 9.0 from http://www.microsoft.com Also download and run the latest DVC 90 hardware Installer (Driver) from the following link: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docsupport1.asp?division_id=1&langue_id=7&product_id=1501&product_name=Studio%20version%209%20&page_id=67 Furthermore, try these steps to capture the video using DVC 90 in Studio software. 1. Update your main board chipset, sound and graphics card drivers from their respective manufacturer website. 2. Connect the USB 2.0 cable to your PC. 3. Connect the 'Video Audio-out' with 'composite cable' (provided with you camcorder) from your VCR to 'Video Audio-in' on your DVC 90. 4. Please make sure you are selecting correct capture source. You may check it by going CAPTURE > CLICK ON SETTINGS > SELECT CAPTURE SOURCE TAB > SELECT DVC 90 UNDER VIDEO SOURCE > PRESS OK. On left hand side of diskometer you will see a screen image icon, click on that screen icon, on top of the opened options, you will see two selections; Composite and S-Video. Select the appropriate option. 5. Check that your VCR is connected and ready to play your movie. 6. Press Play button on your VCR before start capturing in Studio software. 7. 'Start Capture' in Studio and see if it works. Keep us updated. Richard Bann.
