How can I send movies that I have recorded on direct t.v.and saved them on my tivo unit to my computor so that I can burn them onto a DVD to save forever?

i have windows 2000, can I run this piece of @$** dazzle dvc 150 pps on it, I have had no success so far. It says for win 95 / 98, can't I get drivers for w2k? if not it is an expensive boat anchor!

I have built a computer just for copying my 8mm to dvd. The only program
on the computer is Pinnacle Studio Quick Start vs. 9. I cannot get the
program to record from my Sony digital 8mm camra. It keeps asking for
drivers. I found some, but not all. I cannot find some dll files.

I put the program on my office machine, and get the same results. Two
computers with differant mother boards should not be having the same problem.
I would expect the Pinnacle program to have all the right drivers needed
to run the program. I'm running out of ideas. Any advice?

I am installing Dazzle MovieStar movie maker on a computer with windows 2000. The device is detected by windows but not by the set up wizard. The device is not detected from the Movie Star program. I had this problem before on my Windows 98 computer but I do not recall how I resolved it. I believe there is an online upgrade to correct certain anomalies but I am unable to find it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have Dazzle Digital Video Creator. I have used it in the past but had to format my hard drive. I tried to reinstall movie star. It installs but when I load the program I see it but a message appears...having trouble opening, you may have to restart your computer. I have removed the programs and installed again.....this cycle about 20 times now and still can't use it. I tried to install the program on a very old computer of mine and it works there. Any ideas or help? Of course, Dazzle has no more support for this program. I for sure will not buy another one from them again. I don't need a new one, this one DID just what I wanted.....I want to use this one. I have HP desktop running Windows ME....same OS I used the last time it worked for me.

Missing Audio

Just bought Dazzle and using it to transfer VHS home-movies to the PC and then to DVD. While capturing video/audio from the VCR, all works well (can hear and see everything on the monitor screen). I have never gotten it to work when I transfered to XP...but also upgraded with better film equipment...now wanting to get this product to work after not using it for some time has been difficult. I used it when I had Windows 2000. Now I have XP and I cannot get it to work.

I have owned Dazzle for a year or two but only opened package today (dumb). Can't get audio to play from analog or digital devices. Software is MovieStar 5. Pinnacle Systems bought Dazzle, but won't provide support unless I spend another $100.00 for their software. I am not able to get audio on playback on Window XP movie maker 2. I am using Dazzle 80 capture device and a Sony Mini 8 camcorder. The video is great but no sound on playback. The movie shows that it captured audio at 16 bit. When using Movie star 5 software that came with Dazzle 80 audio is fine. What do I need to change?

Dazzle Digital Video Creator w/XP

I have Dazzle Digital Video Creator with moviestar 4.21. I upgraded to XP, but there appears to be no driver for XP. Is this true, or does anyone know where I can get one. I have tried Penacle's website. I have also tried using it with Windows movie maker, but it doesn't recognize the dazzle interface. Probably the same problem, need a driver?
Is there anyone who has solved this problem and how?

Does anyone have or know about Dazzle DVC 120?

I just bought a used Dazzle DVC 120 on Ebay. Like most analog capture devices, this DVC 120 doesn't use a power cord. It (apparently) just plugs into your computer via firewire and into the camcorder or VCR via a/v cables and I guess uses the computer power. (This is how my old DVC 80 works). But when I hook this DVC 120 up, the lights don't come on. My ULead VideoStudio doesn't recognize it. Does this mean I received a dead product, or perhaps do I need to download drivers? The auction was only for the encoder, no software or anything like that. Anyone out there have this product that can help?

Pinnacle doesn't support this device anymore (even though it didn't come out too long ago) and I am very needy for help.

HELP! Dazzle150-renders but will not burn

I get through the "burning" a DVD process. It copies, renders, and then starts to burn. But then a screen pops up telling me an erroe has occurred during burning.

DVC80 Capture Length Question

I am using MovieStar 5 software to capture video via my DVC80 device. I can capture video and audio succesfully but any video longer than 7 minutes only captures the last 7 minutes.

Any ideas? Everything in the video is catured but for only 7 minute (or so) blocks...

I just bought Dazzle DVC 120 software because i heard that it is easy to use & recommended for home video creation. However my PC (Microsoft XP) unable to detacted the device when trying to capture video. What happen?

I followed the manual like switching on the video cam and set it to playing mode etc. Still I was prompt with the same error.

It is very fustrating and I beginning to feel that it is a waste of money buying DAZZLE product.

Dazzle causing pinnacle 9 to lock up

I made a few backups with out any problems. Now all of the sudden Studio 9 locks up every time I try to capture. I can capture from other sources such as my IBM web cam, but when I select to capture from my Dazzle 150 it just locks up. Any ideas?

I don't have a DM-5000 disc...

Um...I found a DM-5000 device in my dad's office (probably outdated, I know, but if I can get it to work, that'd be great XD) , and I cannot seem to find the installation disc in the dirty place he calls an office. -_-; Any help would be apprecated as to any other way I can install this.

DVC II - recordings have no audio - XP

When I play the video from my camcorder, the audio seems to be fine and playing through my speakers. When I record, there is no audio in the clips. This worked before I upgrade to XP from Windows 2000. Has anyone ever gotten the audio to record in XP? There is no sound in audio clips either.

I have a dazzle dvc80 and for some reason I can load all the software including the driver, but my computer will not recognize the device. I went to dazzle to download a new driver but it gets stuck on the installshield portion and never goes any further than that. Does anyone know what the problem could be

XP Driver

For the DVC80 to work on XP you need to install a patch to fix the original driver, which dazzle doesnt have anymore. Even then with the patch in place i could never get audio, best to use the auxillary in on your soundcard, if you want the patch send me an e-mail and i'll send it on for you. But please be aware of what i said, i never could get the audio to work!

I Lost my cd key!!

I have a dazzle digital video creator 80 and have the software for it. The only thing I dont have is the jewel case the cd came in, which has the cd key on it. I need a cd key.

And Frank Anderson, I'll be happy to give you a copy of this software, but we will both need a cd key then.

Can Burn onDVD VCD

I keep getting the following error message when trying to burn a slide show to CD: Error while writing vcd file.

I have OnDVD 2.2 (came with a CF card reader). I've tried all of the suggestions in the manual: restarting with minimal programs running, making sure Direct CD is not running, updating dll file - but nothing works. Any ideas?

I have tried various disks to burn a downloaded to Studio 8 VHS tape, but the message I receive is that it is the wrong disk AND when it does finally burn, my DVD player (that plays DVDs, Audio CDs, MP3s)places a message on the TV "wrong disk". I have done everything except stand on my head. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Dazzle DVC version 3.62 USB Internet Edition

I have been limping along with this DVC for years, but ever since I downloaded DirectX 8 some time ago, I've had trouble viewing the video that I'm capturing. I have to hit record and then hit stop so the video will show up in the window instead of a black screen. I have never downloaded any updates, but would like to do so now. Where are they????? Which ones go with my version? The program is now freezing up every time I hit the capture video button. I need my answer quickly please. I have a deadline. Thank you.

I have been working hours on this thing. It said quick and easy. I have a dazzle and pinnacle studio 9 equipment. I want to copy it to DVD. My DVD burner takes DVD+R, but when I try to burn my stored VHS movie to DVD+R, it says I am not using the right disk? The box just said DVD. Does it take DVD+R or should I return the whole thing.

Also my old stored movie turned out to have about 400 chapters. How do I put them into the time line without doing it one by one? Is there a cut and paste method that I have missed?

I have a Dell Dimension xps b933 with 128Mb RDRAM and just bought a Dazzle DVC 150 with Pinnacle Studio 9 software. Unfortunately I did not read all of the fine print on the box and missed the system requirement for 256Mb of RAM. Is there any software package out there that I can fit into 128Mb and record to my DVD RW?

Note: I have ordered another 128Mb RDRAM.

i just installed all the stuff for the dazzle fusion on xp and it won't capture video from my samsung hi8 camcorder. when select the fusion as my capture device and press play on my camcorder nothing comes up in the preview box. then when i click start capture, nothing happens.

Movie Star and Win XP SP2 update

After updating WindowsXP Service Pack 1 to Service Pack 2 the MovieStar5 will will capure once only then there is error message and it has to close. I have to uninstall and reinstall MovieStar5 to capture another clip.
I have purchased my DVC200 recently. DVD Complete won't recognize my drive so it won't burn DVDs ,it won't capture using analog connection (Dazzle) by design, and MovieStar5 (which won't burn DVDs but is good only to capture with) is now crippled. What a product! And it is still on market...

Whoever asked: I did capture TV using Dazzle. I made two disc of fairy tales for my daughter. (Using MovieStar5 to capture,edit and produce, Sonic MyDVD to burn.)

Dazzle for video capture

I have the Dazzle 150, have used it to burn DVD, Video w/no problems. Since the Dazzle is basically an exterior video capture device, it makes sense to me that there should be a way to utilize it to capture video from the TV via the analog/svideo inputs & use it sort of like a tivo. Has anyone done anything like this? I'm guessing that I need some software that will allow me to copy the tv program on to my hard drive, because the Dazzle only came with Pinnacle Studio 8, which is fine for capturing & burning to vhs or DVD. There's got to be a program that will allow me to view TV/Cable on my monitor & digitally record.

I purchased a Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge for windows XP at the time I baught this 700XL Computer from Gateway Computer company. I have never been able to get this piece of equipment to work or do anything. I would like to be able to record from VHS tapes. I am a vet ww11 and have stories from other Squadron flight crew members on tape & I would like to burn to cd what is on these tapes. The tapes are from 1991 Squadron VP 72 Catalina Flyingboats. The time of Pearl Harbor. These tapes wont last much longer & I hope to record on CD's because they will last for many years to come. I could use some tech support. I allmost gave up on this venture but a friend suggest contacting the company.

I have been running DVC USB 4.22 on Win 98. I now have Win Xp. With the hardware connected I get a warning not to install on Windows XP. Can I disconnect the hardware, install DVC USB software, update to 4.23 followed by an update to 4.24; then connect the hardware and run DVC USB safely?

Hi,
I just bought a new Pioneer burner and my DVD Complete-Deluxe version would not recognize it. I was told to uninstall DVD Complete and reinstall the program. I have the original disks as I bought it from Comp USA. However, when reinstalling, it asked for my serial # that it says I received in an email. I cannot find such an email. Can you please tell me the serial number so I can reinstall the Deluxe version software and then I will run the 2.04 retail update.

Well, guess I just had to figure it out myself. I found pinaccle.de still has MovieStar v4.25 available for download (http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docsupport1.asp?division_id=1&langue_id=4&product_id=1470&product_name=&page_id=64), scroll down to the MovieStar 4.25 for Clipmaster and DVC USB, or direct from their ftp (ftp.pinnaclesys.de/driver/pc/Dazzle). The clipmaster_mstar425.zip works with the DVC USB (DM 4100), there's also a couple others there for d/l. Runs ok for me under WinXP (at least for video capture, haven't tried anything else).

DVC USB (DM 4100)

I picked up one of these used, and it didn't have the original cd with it :( I've managed to find a few versions of MovieStar, but none that want to work with this unit (tried the win9x drivers on win98, and both the win2k/XP drivers on XP with no luck). Also tried a trial version of Pinnacle Studio, and Ulead VideoStudio (which was in the box with the DVC USB), they both seem to only look for Firewire devices. Still looking for somewhere to d/l the original MovieStar that was bundled with this unit. Dazzle was bought out by Pinnacle, and they didn't get the rights to MovieStar, so it's no longer available from either Dazzle's or Pinnacle's websites.

DCS200 as capture device

My DCS200 works with the MovieStar software. I can capture, edit, convert, etc, but it doesn't work as a capture device for Windows Movie Maker, DVD Complete, or in DirestShow examples from the DirectX 9.0 SDK.

Any ideas how to get the DCS to function or be recognized as a video capture deice by these programs?

Dazzle Parallel and XP

Does anybody know where I can get a driver that might wok with XP and a parallel port DVC. I do not know what model it is. The book with it is for a DM-4000, DM-4100, DM-4200, or DM-5000. The software with it is version 3.2 I think. Please let me know if I there is some way to make this work. Pinnacles support sucks.

I have Dazzle Digital Video Creator with Movie Star. I bought it several years ago and it worked great. I recently had to replace my hard drive. I have tried to install, uninstall,install up to eight times now with original software CD. When I load Movie Star I get an error message....."The software is not properly installed." I have tried it with USB plugged in and out. The video box on and off. Since it worked at one time, I know it should work now. Can someone help me out with this?

I recently crashed my PC and all the setup drivers and software for the dvc 80 USB converter was lost, I have the dvc 80 on my new computer and asks me to put in the setup software disc. Can I get the setup and driver on line??

DVD Complet e won't burn DVDs

I have bought Dazzle DVD Creation Station 200 two weeks ago. I cannot burn DVD. DVD Complete which should do it, it will build DVD but won't burn. It won't recognize my DVD+RW drive. Area is grayed out(begie actualy). Manual says it may help change drives from slave to master drive and vice versa, that means open the CPU and play with jumpers. I don't thik it is it is good advice and may not help. Anyone have solution for this problem - how to make DVD Complete burn DVDs?

dear sir, After installing Windows 98 SE os, I have installed MovieStar Version 4.24, which had come along Dazzle Digital Video Creator II. I am facing the problem.

The Dazzle does not get recognized, it shows a message when I click video mode, (A Device attached to system is not functioning) then we have to restart the whole system and then it works. The procedure we have to do each time we start the system, i.e. we have to shutdown and again restart.

We are using HP Brio PC Pentium 4 – 1.8 GHz with 256 MB SDRAM and other standard configuration.

Dazzle Movie Star software

I have a Fast Clip Master Hardware, which I normally use for Video capturing.
Because of serious problems, I had to reinstall my Pc O.S. and I lost the Dazzle Movie star programme which I used instead of Clip master software that is not compatible with windows XP Pro, would you know where I could find a free Dazzle Movie star software to download ?

Dazzle stuff and XP

This stuff is just not written well, and doesn't work with XP worth a darn.

My DVC150 won't show video in the capture window, and there's no hope of getting anything relevant to save it.

I threw my unit in the trash last night.

I'm going to look at other brands -- not Pinnacle.

Maybe Matrox or Canopus.

Don't try the new drivers or versions, as it's just a confusing mess.

Working with Windows 98 Ihave used my Dazzle Moviestar for quite a while. I started getting the "DB Error" and can't open Moviestar. Then I loaded all of it to another computer and it worked for an hour and then the "DB Error" came up on that one too. What can I do. I have the Dazzel Reader/writer. The reader works fine in any computer I attach it to as long as I use my 16 and 64 MB XD cards. However, when I try to use the 512 card, computers do recognize a card as being pluged in. What is the problem?

I have a similar problem like Muditha. When I try to capture video from any source (Camcorder/VCR/DVD Player/Cable), it comes with a message - no video source found.

MovieStar 5.3.0.25

I downloaded this software update for my DVC-100 including the necessary patches. It works great except when it's time to insert the movie title during editing. I click on the title and start to drag it into the timeline BUT it does not do it. Instead my system locks up and restarts. It does it every single time. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is there a different way of inserting the movie title? I turned off hyperthreading (read this in the pinnacle website) but it did not help. Does anybody have a solution for this problem. Please help.

I just installed Dazzle in my computer and carried a set up test which showed that it was correctly set up. The problem is that I always get "DB ERROR" message when I start MovieStar. What should I do to resolve this? I have lost 3 days working on this.

After years of using Dazzle's Movie Star I bought a new Dell PC and re-installed the Card and software in the new PC. But, the software will not initialize the pc camera. Do I need a patch from Dazzle or from Dell or from Sony for the cameras???
And how the heck do I get it to download a still shot off the camera???

I have two Dazzle divices. first one Dazzle DM-4100 & other one is Dazzle DVC II fast. when i capture vedio using DVC - II ( Using VCD Tamplate) & Burn in nero 5.5 or 6 it playes only sound not picture ( playback to use VCD Palyer I tried sevaral Palyers) But I tried using my old capture card & software called movie star 4.22 then the problem is over. please tell me why it's not working ( DVC II & Movie Star 4.23)

As I read I notice not too many people are happy with Dazzle... Yep, here is another complaint about Dazzle DVC 80. It just doesn't work with either of my computers running Windows XP and any of the video capture programs I have (MovieMaker, MGI Video Suite, Roxio DVD Creator to name a few), and they are all very good programs. Sometimes it will capture about 1-2 seconds and then lock everything up until I disconnect it from the computer, other times it doesn't recognize at all. It also isn't a memory problem; there is more than enough memory in my computers to handle any amount of video and audio capture. Pretty much it was a waste to buy this product. Is there any way to salvage this this or do I need to just throw it away and cut my losses?

No Sound?

Using a Dazzle DVC 80, and it came with Pinnacle Studios. Pinn. Studios would not even allow me to capture video, saying that it was not recognizing the DVC80. I installed MovieStar, and it allowed me to capture video. However, on playback, I realized that there was no sound. I know that there won't be sound during capture, but how do I get sound on playback? I know the cables I'm using are functional, and my sound card is just fine. There's no sound when I play the captured clip in Windows Media Player or when trying to edit in MovieStar. Thanks.

I have Windows XP Pro and Dazzle 80. When I try to capture video in Video Wave or Nero6, the video is choppy and the audio is in quick spurts. If you can give me some suggestions I would appreciate it.

Problem with DVCII after changing OS to XP

I'm running a Dazzle DVCII with Moviestar 4.25 for several years now and it worked fine with Windows 98 and ME. Now I had to change to XP and everything changed. Recording is o.k., but when I scroll the timeline, set a point and cut, it seems like the whole system crashed, takes about 30 sec. before I can do the next step. Second problem is Moviestar sometimes crashes when rendering the cut movie. Any ideas, patches, should I use a hammer on the PCI-card?

Why did my device quit working after only a year? I upgraded Studio 8 to 8.12. I downloaded and installed the drivers from Pinnacle's website. Still no good. Do they want me to buy Studio 9?

I've been trying to get this to work for 2 weeks now. (today is 3-28-04) Starting to really piss me off.

DVC capture from VHS trouble? Try update

I have XP Pro and have been trying to get Dazzle DVC USB(with MovieStar software) working. Tried several updates listed at driverfiles.com, but they didnt help.

Ended up getting it working by reinstalling the software from cd version 4.02
and then updating with 421-422USB file. Works like a charm. I am going to see if the DVC will work with Pinnacle Studio 9. Not sure, but it is about three years of updated softwares.

saving image changes

I have a Dazzle Multi-media - dvc-usb version 4.25 "MovieStar". When I transfer pictures from the Media manager to the video window, open the still image editor tab and make my changes to the image, save the changes back to the media manager, the changes do not stay with the images when the images are cut and moved to a file/folder outside the Dazzle video creator. MovieStar 4.24 for "DVC" WinXP Upgrade Patch

I upgradedfrom 4.22 to 4.24 for XP. Now i get a window that opens on the moviestar browser that says "hardware not detected". I know this is an XP issue because it works on my other system runnig 98SE. I really like the browser that came with 4.22 and would like to keep it an not have to spend more $. I can't make my resolution stay on 16 bit in display-settings. I even went to compatability win 2000, but I have XP is that okay?

I want to use my software but have problems fitting it into the desktop space. It comes out very large and I can't get to the toolbar, Captue, edit, produce to see the entire screen. I don't know what to do. Could you please help me. I don't know how to cut out part either from the digital camera.

Hello, I have problems with the dazzle video creator. I want to capture still images frames from my camcorder that i have a vacation movie on it. I want to make a slide show with transition effects and add music to the slide show.

I know im not gonna spend 60 bucks for new hardware when i have had hardware and software for a year now. you would think that they would put their serial numbers on the hardware. since you need the hardware to run it why now engrave serial on the dongle?

If one of you could instruct me how to navigate the dazzle site and find the XP drivers for this software I would appreciate it. The "help" field on my software does not have a registration number that I can figure out listed in the about square.
The dude at the store where I bought the unit tells me that XP drivers are available as a free download. I can't get their site to co-operate so i am asking your assistance.

DVD Complete states "invalid disk"

I have a properly configured Compaq N620C laptop connected to a Sony DRX-510UL Burner via USB 2.0.
Dazzle captured a 3 gig image of a VHS tape flawlessly.
DVD complete says the current project is 3.0 gb
The media in the Sony DVD burner is 4.7gb.
When I click on the hammer to burn, I get a red Invalid Disc in the Blank Media bar.
I cannot figure out why I would be getting this unless DVD Complete does not recognize the DVD player and media properly.
I upgraded to version 5.3.0.25 of Dazzle.

Dazzle DV Creator free software Pinnacle 8

Received Dazzle 80 with the free software Pinnacle Studio just today for Christmas. I tried to install the software but the serial number is not on the Cd or the sleve as promised. It looks like I have to fax a copy of the receipt and a bunch of other info to a fax number and then wait for who knows how long. Anyone know another way to get a serial number. I can't even register the hardware becuase the Serial is showing as invlaid online. You are required to install the software before you hook it up to the USB port. I would appreciate any help before I stand in line tomorrow at Best Buy or attempt the fax option. What a sucky Christmas job ahead.

Movie Star 5 option for DVD burning (DVC 200)

Everything is ok from capturing to rendering but when I tried the burn option, it will first direct you to Dazzle Complete program, present a quick wizard for making a DVD project. Then a screen will appear for DVD burn but there is a message "invalid media disc" in red color below the dropdown for selecting the burner. The dropdown is even disabled. My burner is IOMEGA Super DVD and is working fine with other softwares. Please help....

DVC-Usb won't work

I have a DVD-USB and i am running windows xp pro , the drivers install fine and the ready light comes on but when i go to use it, even in the setup wizard , the ready light blinks on and off and it tells me that there is no signal found?! then i have to unplug it and plug it back up to get the ready light to go back green. Also when i use movie star it tells me that the device is not responding and to unplug it to reset it and try again.I am using movie star 4.24 HELP PLEASE.

I have a OLD Dazzel version 3.6, and it's NOT working due to (i think) being scratch over time! My Dazzel itself works FINE, and the software does download, but when i attempt to open the program, is says "error opening database" and shuts off!! PLEASEEEE help! DVC 100 Output to VCR problems

I just bought a DVC 100 and have successfully captured video from my VCR but I cannot output it to my VCR. I am using MovieStar 5 and when I go to the produce window the only option I have of selecting is DVC 100 under the video device and the Browser button. I have made sure the RCA cables are correct and connected. The video plays in the window but the ready or the rec/play button does not light up on the DVC.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Please e-mail with the answers

When I capture video from my VCR connected by the Dazzle DVC 80, the sound is delayed significantly. Is there anything I can do to capture video and sound successfully. I've tried Moviestar 5 and Pinnacle Studio 8 with the same results.

Just purchased a few weeks ago DM-6000 with firewire board - MovieStar5 captures fine but cannot use the edit mode. When I move the captured file into the storyline the program hangs (not-responding msg). I have a Dell 8200 running Windows XP. I attempted calling Pinnacle Tech support today but their lines were out of service. The support website is useless - there has to be an upgrade for this version 5.01.04 but I cannot find their download area.

Problem with DV-Bridge on Win XP

Hi,

I've recently bought Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge hardware/software, I've connected it all up and installed all the software but am unable to capture anything in Moviestar. It just doesn't come up with any video from my VCR - I'm in the UK so my VCR has a scart output which I have a plug that I can get 3 phono outputs from Audio Left and Right and Video. I've set the DV-Bridge to convert from Analogue to Digital.

I'm running this on Win XP Home - I've been unable to get to the download site to download any updates to Moviestar - does anybody know if there is a problem with Moviestar on a Win XP machine and why the www.dazzle.com website no longer works?

I've lost the manual for my DVC 80, so I may just be putting the camcorder in the wrong mode or something. My problem is that whenever I try to capture video, it says "An error has occured. Yo, Dazzle used the same CD Key on every distribution of DVC80 it gave out. SHEL-ESMKAtR-HmHPCBbE-NR01. Download the Moviestar 5.3 Critical update and use that as your CD Key. That should get you working.

i just bought a Dazzle Fusion and it worked well with my Dell Inspiron(P-III 600mhz,384 MB RAM,Windows 98) although the picture quality was not upto the mark but i was able to produce videos.Recently i installed Win XP(Home edition)and therefore tried to set up the Dazzle software.The software got installed well but the movie maker does not recogonises my capture card (Dazzle Card).I tried all means to solve this problem.I would appretiate a feasible help from my fellow friends.

When I capture a video, the resulting AVI file is displayed up side down.
During the capture the video is correctly displayed on the monitoring screen.
I use Moviestar 5.3.0.25.

DVC100 capture cuts out after a few seconds

my MovieStar capture session with RCA plugs cuts out after a few seconds, freezing on a frame. It doesn't like my S-Video, AND WinXP doesn't recognize the capture device in Windows Movie Maker.

Can't Capture with fusion

I bought dazzle fusion and it worked fine for the first week... now anytime i try to capture xp disconnects it automatically and says there was a problem while installing the hardware after it was already installed.. i have removed and reinstalled fusion over and over and it still doesnt work.. any ideas?

Finally got a fair capture with DVC80

First capture sucked hard. Blochy color, blocking, ect. Tried SVideo cable rather than RCA, but did not help.

I heard it gets hot & to point a fan at it. Didn't seem hot but put it between 2 blue ice packs. Ice packs under my laptop worked to prevent my games from freezing so why not? I hope it does not get condensation in it, but Phoenix is dry this time of year.

I continually get a "DB Error". Computer store secured remedy off the net/dazzle that works but each time I do it I lose all my work. Just lost a project with four days work in it (25 hours) Need to get this rectified or the Dazzle goes in the garbage can.

I have purchased your product and have been able to use it with current photos in my computor. BUT I can't seem to get images from my Sony 450 digital Cam Corder. I'm sure it is nothing with your program but I must reset my computor or my mind. I have a Compaq Presario 1200. Can you please send me some tips on how to get the photos off my cam corder.

HELP I have just purchased a new pc, But when i came to install the software for my Dazzle DVC 80 the CD rom will not read the disk.
No probolem with ant other CD so it must be a damaged disk.
Can anyone tell me how i can get a new copy, Dazzle tech page offers no help.

just bought a dazzle 80(was going to get a dazzle 100)it asks for a serial number that is nowhere in the box , it says that im supposed to call a number to get the serial. what crap!im on a freaking deadline, its midnight , and im suposed to call thier number??between that and the other horror stories ive heard here im returning it tomorrow. bah

Can anyone help me capture at 352x288 with AVI_IO or VirtualDub or Adobe?

Answer to why you can't capture more than 15 minutes

From the Dazzle Knowledge Base:
"Any operating system that is not formatted as NTFS will run into a 4GB file size limitation that has been set by Windows. These are Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME and in some cases Win 2000. This is about the size of an 18-minute AVI file. You can capture in 15 minute increments and then add the clips to the editor. You will then be able to produce the separate clips as one."

Wish I had known this before I bought a 80 gig harddrive to go with my DVC80. It took a long time to find this out too. Thought I would save you guys the trouble of trying to find this info.

Dazzle dvc80

I can capture video for 15 minutes & then an error message box comes up.
"Capture has been aborted due to an unexpected error. Error: General access denied error." What does this mean & what do I need to do to correct this? About how long of a clip can I capture at one time?

In 1999 I purchased Dazzle Digital Video Creator 3.6 for use with Windows 98. In 2001 I purchased a Dell 8200 computer with Windows XP. I have tried your forum website and ended up with the worse case of frustration that one can have. I tried calling your phone line only to get more frustrated. All I want is to know if the DVC 3.6 can be upgraded to use with Windows XP. If it can, where would I go to obtain the upgrade? When I attempt to view your web site I do not see any upgrade for Digital Video Creator 3.6. However I do see many other versions and some are titled Digital Video 100, Digital Video 50, etc. etc. Which one would I choose in order to help me?

Dazzle DVC 80 poor video quality.

I bought the Dazzle DVC 80 on Monday afternoon and it is now Wednesday. I have unsuccessfully created a good quality VCD. Sound is usually 5 seconds behind and video quality is almost like a 3rd generation VHS tape.
I have even tried Ulead Video Studio 7.
What settings are suppose to work with this? Video Wave 5 did nothing to hlep it.

analog movies to DVD.

I have tried numberous times and ways to capture, encode,build dvd and burn and can only capture 19 minutes at a time and then in trying to burn to a CD I can only burn once. because I get this message says key exchange for DVD copy protection failed press ok to close the player. and have not been able to burn any more to that cd. I do not have enough free space to encode and save up 20 movies to burn all at once. what is your suggestion.

DVC80 Poor video capture

I've found the video captured (from analog camcorder) by my DVC80 to 'blotchy' and poor with the supplied Video SW. Other video capture SWs are no better with this HW (DVC80). Is there some way to tweak my Athlon XP 2G running XP Pro to make the DVC80 capture usefull ??

DAZZLE SUPPORT

I recently purchased a dazzle dvc 80 and have had nothing but dissapointments with it. First of all the software that came with it would not load without first calling to get the serial number. Then when I tried to get the latest fersion of moviestar the download came back as corrupted.

And to top it all off Dazzles support is non existant.

DVC80 is good.

I think DVC80 rocks!
